The origins of H&G Advocates (formerly Kateera and Kagumire Advocates) can be traced back to 1903. Throughout the years, our firm has evolved. New partners. New logo. New website. Becoming the H&G Advocates you know today.

We are the best full-service law firm based in Uganda and over the course of 117 years, the firm has drawn from institutional memory and broad expertise to provide an unparalleled service across a range of specialized practice areas.

We take a holistic and pragmatic approach to provide legal counsel and as a member of TAGLaw, an international alliance of independent law firms, the firm provides access to representation across 155 firms in 90 countries.

    Hunter & Greig Advocates established in Uganda by Dr. Henry Hamilton Hunter and George Greig.

    Greig retires from the Firm.

    Dr. Hunter retires from the Firm.

  4. Hunter & Greig Advocates

    O J (John) Keeble joins the Firm. Keeble stayed with the Firm until 1972. He was awarded an OBE in 1973 for services rendered to the British Community in Uganda.

    Jonathan Kateera joins the Firm as Partner and later on Chris Kasibayo, Ssengoba, Akankwasa.

    Yusuf Kagumire joins the Firm as a Partner.
